About Tori

My name is Victoria Trum Schoeler, known to most as Tori. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Ed, and a minor in Studio Art from St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. I was able to combine both of my degrees and passions during my teaching career. I married my high school sweetheart and have been raising our four beautiful children in Ridgewood, NJ. I’ve always stayed close to the art world with supplemental classes but as a busy mom, I temporarily put my art career on hold.

My sister was the springboard when she asked me to paint a waterview of her favorite honeymoon night in St. Lucia. Pregnant with my fourth baby, three kids playing around me, I sat down to paint, and the colors and feelings started flowing out onto the canvas. It felt amazing - painting is truly what I am meant to do.
Almost immediately, friends and family asked me to paint special places and moments for them, as gifts and mementos.

I decided to manifest my dreams and build an art studio in my home, start a business selling my paintings and doing special, commissioned artwork as well as local pop- up art shows and showings at galleries.

I have a heart for seascapes and abstract Impressionism and I often wake up from dreams of color, shapes, and emotions I want to express on canvas. The results are my works of art that are a true reflection of how I see the world. I love to bring my clients back to their happiest places and memories, or evoke playfulness, peace, and happiness from a colorful abstract.

When I’m not painting, I’m happiest on a beach or outside relaxing with my family and friends, who inspire me daily and support my vision. I never get tired of the color blue, sunsets, finding the perfect dress, and anything pickled!

Meeting with a client and really getting to know them and how I can help enhance the beauty of their home is the most rewarding part of this job. I hope you can connect with the style, color, and feel of a VTS original!
